VPN Client Configure - Linux

Installing Openvpn Client on Linux.

login as root and use yum command to install the openvpn client.
[ user19 ][~ ]$ sudo yum install openvpn
[sudo] password for Vasant:
Loaded plugins: rhnplugin, security
This system is not registered with RHN.
RHN support will be disabled.

Ask your system admin to add your login to openvpn group. Once you added to openvpn group, use below command.
Vasant [ user19 ][~ ]$ sudo /usr/sbin/openvpn -- config <vpngatway config file>.

Connecting gateway using Open VPN Client.

We can connect only using root permission, for this login as root & use the openvpn cmd, or using sudo command we can run the openvpn command. $sudo /usr/sbin/openvpn ‐config <openvpnconfig file>

Vasant [ user19 ][~/Desktop/OpenVPN/Security_Keys/vpnkey ]$ sudo /usr/sbin/openvpn --config


Now open new terminal to check whether you have connected or no.


Now you can connect to your Office Local network from outside world, using your office LAN IP Address received by your Sysem Admin
